Breaking the Law

No white after Labor Day. What? Says who? I was really curious about this law and wanted to get to the bottom of it. After a few Google searches, I found one theory. White is a color that keeps us cool in the summer time, therefore we naturally want to switch to warmer colors as fall begins. Okay.. I guess that makes sense.. but NO white? Like absolutely none? That's a tad bit extreme. Fashion has always been about breaking the rules, so lets trash that old urban legend. I think that with the right staple pieces, white can be a part of your wardrobe all year round. It's a basic neutral that can compliment all skin tones. This particular dress is a perfect transition into fall because of the texture and lining. It can be paired with a blazer or cardigan for lower temperatures, it's easy to dress up with some jewelry and a great pair of wedges, and it can even look "causal cute" by pairing it with your favorite sandals. I personally like to style this dress by wearing a black bandeau under the sheer white fabric and a pair of black booties. This creates the perfect edgy look, especially with the sexy open back (as shown below)
All in all, there are so many different ways to wear this dress. It is a white canvas just waiting for you to accessorize and make it your own.
